Chapter 1
The Moss Man.
Tom Moss is a Frankston-based creator who works under the name The Moss Man. He builds connected systems across visual art, music, education technology and symbolic invention. A painter, a songmaker, a developer, a behaviourist, a pattern-builder.
The Moss Man persona is the creator-as-runic-scribe: the figure who sits at the desk with the black cockatoo feather and the spiral notebook and works out the system from first principles, then makes it visible. Not a performer. Not a marketer. A builder of worlds that have their own internal logic.
The name: moss grows where other things don't. It doesn't need ideal conditions. It covers old stone and makes it new. Patterns become worlds.
Tom is also a practising behaviour support thinker — someone who has worked with children, observed attention, and built tools to address what he sees in classrooms and homes. This is not separate from the mythological work. The classroom tool and the symbolic system use the same underlying pattern logic.
Chapter 2
Blue $nake Studio.
Blue $nake Studio (B$S) is Tom's production entity. It's the name under which all the work is published, branded and connected. The dollar sign in the middle of "Snake" is intentional: knowledge coiled inside commercial form. The serpent eating the currency symbol and returning something else.
The studio doesn't specialise. It operates across education technology, music, visual art and symbolic systems simultaneously — not because it's trying to do everything, but because the work is genuinely connected at the level of pattern. A painting informs a number. A chant informs a classroom tool. The same base-60 geometry powers the digital DNA of Meta-Pet and the circular structure of Moss 60.
blkck2.com is the portal — the entrance point to the whole universe. The address is an abbreviation of "black cockatoo" written twice: the bird, mirrored, the central recurring figure in every layer of the work.

The projects.
Meta-Pet

Moss 60
A 60-position visual number system grounded in base-60 geometry. Powers Meta-Pet's digital DNA, glyph puzzles and symbolic identity systems. The Oracle Warden is the interactive glyph engine.
Semantic Sovereignty
A doctrine on language, framing, meaning and narrative defence. Published as the OSS-734G Known Unknowns Register. The practice of understanding whose language you are using and whether it serves you.

Bunurong-Boonwurrung language research map. The presence of the black cockatoo in the local country, its name, its meaning and its thread into the B$S mythology.
B$S Magic Rubix Cube
The cube is a symbolic game-object: six word-square faces folded into a movable 3D artefact. The player can scramble, solve, rotate, and read the live six-side net. Each face holds a 5×5 word grid — 25 letters, six gates, one machine. Twist the layers to scramble the spell. Reverse every move to solve the artefact. Chapter 4
The recurring symbols.
Every layer of the B$S universe shares a set of symbols. They appear in different forms — painted, sung, printed, encoded — but the underlying meaning stays consistent. Learning to read them is learning to read the studio.
- The black cockatooThe central figure. Deity, ancestor, harbinger, trickster, artist. Appears across mythology, music, classroom tools and number systems. Never explained directly — experienced.
- The featherThe physical talisman. The thing found. The thing that starts everything. A yellow-tailed black cockatoo tail feather threads through portraits, songs, classroom visits and lore as a recurring real-world object.
- The coiled snakeThe B$S emblem. Knowledge wrapped around commercial form. The dollar sign inside the snake's coil. Transformation, danger and return — the currency of the studio.
- The spiralThe Moss 60 base shape. Base-60 geometry, the spiral mountain, the ouroboros, the seed of life. Appears in number system diagrams, mythology paintings and classroom identity work.
- The neon cityThe built world. The street. Where the QR codes land and the prints get pasted. Cyberpunk, broken, alive. The background against which every street drop and music release operates.
- The dollar signEmbedded inside the studio name: Blue $nake. Not about money directly — about meaning inside commercial form. The thing the snake swallows and transforms.
- The QR codeThe street portal. A physical object pointing into the digital world. The trigger: scan, and the universe opens. Seven colour variants, deployed as stickers, sheets and street drops.
- The mossThe studio's name-material. Moss grows where other things don't, on old stone, without ideal conditions. Quiet, patient, covered. The creator who builds at the edges of conventional categories.
Chapter 5
Named figures in the universe.
The B$S universe has recurring named figures who appear across media — paintings, music, classroom tools and number systems. They are not separate characters. They are the same energy in different registers.
The Moss Man
Tom Moss. The runic scribe at the desk. The creator of everything in this universe. Appears as illuminated portrait, street-art icon, Victorian gentleman, Frankston's most distinguished citizen and the budget medieval warrior.
Auralia
The central mythological figure of the B$S universe. Appears across paintings, character art, colouring pages and symbolic systems. Her connection to the black cockatoo is left as a secret — experienced through the art rather than stated. The divine, the dark, the ascending.
She Who Weaves the Dawn
暁を編む者. A figure from the stained-glass and woodblock series. Green kimono, black cockatoo on wrist, birds overhead. Appears at the junction of Japanese visual tradition and the B$S mythological world.
The Spiral Mountain God
螺旋山神. Appears in the Moss 60 stained-glass series. Mountain deity in conical hat, surrounded by waves and clouds. The cosmic architecture of the number system made visible.
Black Wing Crew
Not a band. The flock. The collective of omen-lineage artist-ancestors who populate the music universe. They are the black cockatoos who chose to sing rather than disappear. The sound comes from inside their world.
Chapter 6
How it all connects.
The B$S universe is not a collection of separate projects. It is one system expressed in multiple media simultaneously. The connections are not metaphorical — they are structural.
- Moss 60 → Meta-Pet: The base-60 geometry of Moss 60 powers the digital DNA system in Meta-Pet. A child's identity in the app is encoded using the same visual number system as the Oracle Warden glyph engine.
- The feather → classroom: The yellow-tailed black cockatoo feather is a physical object used in real classroom visits. The same feather appears in portraits, song lyrics and mythology. The real and the mythological share the same token.
- Frankston → all of it: The studio is rooted in Frankston, Victoria. The black cockatoos are local birds. The sister-city connection to Susono runs through Japanese visual tradition that also feeds into the stained-glass series. The Victorian street language runs through the Old Vic State song cycle.
- Black Wing Crew → Visual Worlds: Every Black Wing Crew release has a visual identity. The lyric posters, QR sticker sheets and print packs live in the Print Street Arsenal gallery room. Music and image arrive together.
- Semantic Sovereignty → everything: The doctrine on language and framing is the meta-layer. It describes how the studio thinks about the relationship between words, meaning and power — and it shows up in the naming of every project, the tone of every piece of text, and the design of every classroom tool.
- Auralia → Moss 60 → classroom: Auralia's symbolic identity is encoded using Moss 60 geometry. The same geometry is the puzzle engine in Meta-Pet. A child doing a puzzle in Meta-Pet is engaging with the same underlying pattern as the mythological works.
Patterns become worlds. The principle holds in every direction you look.
Chapter 7
Where to start.
The B$S universe has no single correct entry point. The right door depends on who you are.
If you're a teacher or parent: start with Meta-Pet and the Teacher Tools. The practical layer is also the most fully developed.
